ADEYEMI. INTRODUCTION: We are still considering the theme; COMMITMENT TO CHRIST and we thank God for the Ministrations by Pastor Ayo Oduntan on the theme last Sunday. Today, were going further into the Principles of our being relevant in the demonstration of Commitment to Christ our Master whose standard is solid and straight. (1) EXCEED THE MINIMUM STANDARD - Mathew 5: 40-42 - In Spiritual Journey, Pastors and Christian Leaders are to be seen as minimum standard you should aspire to exceed. While Jesus should remain the PERFECT MODEL and YARDSTICK to measure our Growth and Development. Heb. 12:1-2 - Deliberate Plans and Programmes must be in place to enable the Followers and Coming Generations to Supersede and Overtake our Spiritual-Landmarks in view of Advancement in Technology, Better Opportunity and Decline in Morality and Godliness - Psalms 37: 7-8 - The Up-coming Generations should appreciate the Divine Succession Plans and be Humble to Serve with Maximum Dedication to God and Constituted Authority. Knowing fully well that there is nothing that we have, except that which was given by Him - John 14:12, ll Kings 2:1, Joshua 10:13 & Psalms 37: 11 (2) OBSERVE SPIRITUAL HEALTH & GROWTH CHECK - Proverbs 30: 7-9 - These are days the devil and his agents are working extra-ordinarily through; Institutions, Individuals and Policies against Believers and Principles of God. Our Level of Commitments, Faithfulness, Dedications and Loyalty towards Jesus, The Church and Yourself is on TRIALS regularly and we must be Resolute, Absolute and Never Fail, if we must Enjoy Sound Personal Health and Growth - l Peter 5: 7-9 - We must be careful, so that Individual, Situation and Circumstances do not divert and distract our Attentions from Christ because we are in the Last days! Colos. 2: 8 Ephesians 5: 6 & ll Thessalonians 2: 3 & Romans 8: 35-39 - Do self Assessment on; How close are you to the Bible, How Regular and Faithful is your Church Attendant, How involved are you in the Ministry, How Prayerful are you these days, What are your Financial and Material Contributions to the Growth and Progress of the Church? e.t.c. - ll Corinthians 13: 5-10 & ll Peter 1: 10-11 - What Spiritual Legacy are you leaving behind for the generations coming behind you? A Wise man leaves a good heritage for his children and childrens children Part 2 and Conclusion of this Message comes up Next Sunday by His grace.
