METAMORPHOSIS (Excerpts from Devotional Box - a daily devotional by Dr. Isaiah & Lianna Wealth) * * * 25th October, 2014. * * * TITLE:. MAINTAIN GOD’S STANDARDS SCRIPTURAL TEXT: (Psalm 18:30) As for God, his way is perfect: the word of the LORD is tried: he is a buckler to all those that trust in him.” * * * A major potential cause of frictions, misunderstanding and hurt is the fact that everyone wants to be treated fairly, yet each has expectations based on tradition, personal prejudice, or even outright assumptions. There cannot be peace or oneness where everyone claims to be right by their own standard. The reason we take offence so easily sometimes is because we feel others have fallen short of our standards, yet how true or realistic are these standards? Forgiveness becomes easier when God’s Word is the standard for your dealings with others. Why? It is because you would frown at what God frowns at, and forgive what God has already forgiven. Therefore, look into God’s Word today for His standard on issues, implementing such in place of your feeling or previous ideology. Begin to cut down on unrealistic target or expectations that you have set for those around you, embracing God’s Word as the standard for right and wrong. Glory to God! * * * LIANNA PROPHESIES: May the word of God be your total guide today in Jesus name. * * * ACTION POINTS DO THIS: Consider the standards you have set for yourself over the years and discover if they are in line with the word, if No, throw them away and let God’s word become your standards going forward. * * * SAY THIS: I decree and I declare that the Lord perfects all that concerns me today. * * * STUDY YOUR BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: EZEKIEL 36&37, JOHN 1, PSALMS 148 * * * CHRISTIAN MISSION FOCUS TANZANIA Population: over 45million. There is a critical lack of trained, mature leaders, and many pastors must care for 10 or more congregations, often miles apart. Also, the 40,000 villages and towns in Tanzania are still without a single church and 75% of Tanzania’s population is rural. * * * PRAY FOR TANZANIA: We are praying for more bible schools and institutions that will prepare leaders for an increasing literate population. * * * STARTUP PRAYER: Dear Lord, I pray that all that I do lines up with your word at all times in Jesus name. * * * PRAYER OF CONSECRATION Oh Lord my God, I thank you for my year so far. I consecrate my plans to you. Do not let me fall short of what you have for me this year. Open my eyes to see your plans, open my way and let help and favour guide me into the path of continuous increase.
