METAMORPHOSIS (Excerpts from Devotional Box by Dr. Isaiah & Lianna Wealth) 23rd December, 2014 - - - - - - - - - - - - - - TOPIC: MAGNIFY GOD SCRIPTURE: I will praise the name of God with a song, and will magnify him with thanksgiving.” - (Psalms 69:30) To magnify literarily means to enlarge a thing. In another sense, it is to amplify something. Our text today identifies thanksgiving as a tool for magnifying God. How is this so, and for what purpose must we magnify God? In thanksgiving, a man testifies of God’s goodness. This act of faith brings God into the picture; into the imagination of those who hear him, causing the hearts of those who have not thought or sought after God to suddenly desire Him. Thanksgiving makes God visible where he had hitherto been unseen. Magnifying God through your testimony of His goodness is also a way of seeking Him, because not only does it create a consciousness of God in your heart, it drives others to seek Him also. And as we see in Psalms 69:32, magnifying God comes with a blessing; everything at the core of your life shall live! Shout Amen! ISAIAH PROPHESIES: May your words magnify God today in Jesus name.
