METROPOLICE POLICE DEPARTMENT, Washington, D.C. class 70-30 we graduated from the Police Academy in the fall of 1970. It was a great group of guys I graduated with. An interesting tidbit of history, the tall guy front and center is Peter Wentz, he resigned before his probationary year and went on to work for the Manassas PD, later becoming a Detective. I am sure we all remember the Slice heard around the world, the case of Lorena Bobbitt reshaping her husband Johns physical appearance and depositing the certain item alongside of Rt I-66. Pete was the lead detective in that case. I did ask Pete years later if he handled the evidence before it was reattached, lol. He frowned and said no but we did get a good laugh out of it.
