You have just survived your first few weeks of high school, and now all your school work is catching up with you… Don’t worry, we have all been there. That is why link crew put together a study support team. Whether its math, science, English, history, language, or maybe even some encouragement, we have a leader to help you. Study sessions will take place during study period. Ask a teacher where you can sign up. Help is on the way! Seniors There is a MANDATORY Senior Class meeting this Wednesday, September 24th during Study Period in the PAC. You will receive important graduation information and vote on a few items - if you are not there you do not get to vote. Health Room Students: If you are ill and need to go home, you need to check out through the health room instead of calling your parent from your cell phone. Career Center College Visits for September: 25th - Washington State University 29th - Northwest University Sign-up sheets are in the Career Center and Counseling Center’s Juniors and Seniors: Need help getting into college? Come to College Workshops Wednesday’s afterschool in the Career Center. Topics include filling out application, finding scholarships, researching college and financial aid. Financial Aid Night - October 28th at 6:30 pm in the PAC Veteran’s Day This years Veterans Day assembly is Thursday, November 6th. If you know a past Veteran or a current military person that would like to come to the assembly on November 6th and be honored for their service, please contact mhs.veterans@gmail. You can also send in pictures of a Veteran or current military person as well to mhs.veterans@gmail Activities/Clubs Key Club: Got community service? Bearcats are all about service. Join Key Club Tuesday, September 23, 7:30 before school or after school to learn about bearcat community service! There will be food! GSA: We are going to have a short meeting this Tuesday after school in room 508 to prepare for Homecoming! See you there! Anime Club: If you like anime, make sure you come to the Anime Club! We meet on Wednesday’s and Friday’s in room 606 until 4:00. We have great ideas of things to do this year, but they can’t happen if you don’t come. Drama Club: Do you consider yourself to be a class clown? When you were in middle school did you often find yourself sitting in a corner for making a witty remarks? If you answered yes, or even no, to any of these questions then you should consider trying out for the improv team! The improv workshop is TODAY in the PAC from 2:30- 3:45 come down and see if improv is for you. Auditions for the team will be tomorrow, September 23 from 2:30-3:45. See Ms Reed in 501 for details. Art Club will be meeting in Mr. Gs room after school this Wednesday, September 24. Bring a friend, bring some art, bring some fun! SPORTS Bearcat Wrestlers, we will begin weight training and conditioning TODAY from 3-5 in the MHS weight room. We will meet Monday through Thursday. You will need to pick up a waiver form from Mrs. Wallace in the office and bring it with you today, signed. No signed waiver, no workout. You will need appropriate workout gear and running shoes (you dont need wrestling boots). Sporting Events today: 6:00 - JV Football at Snohomish; bus leaves 4:30 4:00 - Girls C Team Soccer at Lake Tye Park; shuttle 2:45 5:30/7:30 - JV/V Girls Soccer vs Snohomish at Home 6:00 - Girls Swim at Oak Harbor; bus leaves 3:30 3:30 - Boys Varsity Tennis vs Mariner at Home 3:30 - Boys JV Tennis at Mariner; dismiss 1:50, bus leaves 2:00
