~** MICHAEL END-OF-DAY UPDATE **~ Sooo!!!! Today I met the other illustrators who won alongside me in the competition and they are all super cool and amazingly chill people :) and my roommate surprisingly has an equally loud and hilarious laugh as mine so Im thoroughly happy about that lol We went to take photos as a group with the judges and some other people and as we were standing in line the guy in front of me said Gosh I need to be taller! and i patted him on the back and said one day, one day... Little did I know I was making a sneaky remark at Cliff Neilson!!!! The illustrator of the Narnia book covers!!!!!!!!!! smh lol Chilling with some of the illustrators in the lobby of the hotel when Tim Powers, the man behind the story that led to Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides, walks up and waves at us and says hi then leaves! Smh :) And to top off the night a couple of us went and chilled by the poolside just talking about art and life.... To be honest the night is still extremely young, seeing as the time is currently 9:41pm here!!!! but unfortunately Im super tired from my flight and lack of sleep the night before (and also the fact that my laptop is saying its 12:41 in Boston right now!!!!) so yh, Im gonna call it an early bed, rest up and get ready for my week ahead :)
