Peter, Paul and Mary hit during the turbulent period that JFK was killed and as the Civil Rights movement was gathering steam. Their pure folk voices and Bobs iconic song started a revolution of consciousness in America. The various movements for social change here all started in the wake of this seminal folk classic.
