MICROSCOPING THE P. D. P ADMINISTRATION FOR THE PAST 15 YEARS (MY CANDID VIEW) By Abbati Bako, psc, bsis,UK. The political microscopic analysis indicate that the political democratic leadership of the ruling party (PDP) has been very poor in Nigerian nation. In the current circumstances the stakeholders are trying to manage the damages that have been done to the party and the central government of Nigeria at the eyes of both internal/external political stakeholders (is the image/glory of Nigeria shining within the comity of nations?)The microscopic analytic developmental survey in other countries of the world has been very amazing compared to Nigeria; Brazil, S/Africa, Ghana, China, India, Malaysia, Indonesia, S/Arabia, Turkey, Iran and many more. Although experts assert that in politics, prediction/imagination of what might happen tomorrow or next year or in the next 10 years is very difficult to ascertain. This is due to the fact that human (social) behavior or thinking can change at any minute of the day. Had it been that the majority of Nigerians knew that the ruling party P.D.P would make Nigeria as it is today, I am confidently sure that most Nigerians (if not all) would never have voted the ruling party. The reader might ask why? The answer is simple. Although it is a known fact that large majority of Nigerians lack the know-how of democratic principles and purpose of its practice, but some of the leaders know them and unfortunately are capitalizing on the ignorance of the majority about the purpose and principles/norms/rules of democratic governance. Considering the political, economical and social standards of Nigerians and then comparing them with the citizens of other countries; it is observed that Nigeria and Nigerians are far below in terms of political governance, economic audacity and social standards according to the UN human index of 2013. When one looks at the political governance in Nigeria, the political democratic governance has been in tatters for the past 15 years. The corruption, insecurity, inflation, unemployment, stagflation, among many other things, it can be said that the microscopic analysis indicates that the political democratic governance of the ruling party P.D.P has been very poor; whereas that of other countries has been quite amazing as mentioned above. Five points raised by international scholars that restricted African societies to develop (bad governance, conflicts, trapped resources, lad-lock and k of population control) has not being tackled by the PDP administration for the past 15 years. The only solution is that Nigerians use all democratic means to bring change of government by 2015; otherwise, Nigeria will be in limbo in the next some decades to come. To drive my point home, take for example in my state Kano, I do not see infrastructures worth 10b Naira seeing as trillions of Naira has been spent on States in the past 15years. The P.D.P and its leadership are experts in political rhetoric rather than political, economic and social benefits for the citizens of Nigeria. Will Nigerians vote for P.D.P again come 2015? May God save Nigeria and Nigerians! Abbati Bako,MA,psc, bsis, mti,UK (Political Strategist)
