MIDDLEBURY TWP - Home Invasion Suspect Being Sought -The Shiawassee County Sheriff’s Office Needs Your Help!!! From The SCSO: “On 9/27/14 at approximately 8:18 pm a homeowner interrupted a burglary when he arrived at his residence in the 8300 block of west M-21 in Middlebury Township. The homeowner noticed a vehicle described as a red, 1990’s era full size pick up which was in good condition for the year of vehicle. When he reached the front door of his home, the offender exited and attacked him striking him in the head and knocking him to the ground. Once on the ground, the offender continued to attack the resident by kicking him in the head and face. The offender then ran to his truck and fled westbound on M-21. The suspect is described as a white male, approximately 5’10”-6’0” with an average build. He was wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt with the hood up and dark pants. The resident, who is a 63 year old Middlebury Township man, was transported by Ovid Ambulance to Memorial Healthcare center where he was treated for head injuries and later released. Anyone with information on the identity of this suspect is asked to contact Shiawassee County Sheriff’s Detectives at 989-743-2202. There is also a reward being offered through Crime Stoppers of Mid-Michigan for the identification and arrest of this suspect.
