MIDNIGHT BANQUET OF THE LITTLE PEOPLE. I heard noises - TopicsExpress

MIDNIGHT BANQUET OF THE LITTLE PEOPLE. I heard noises downstairs. Scurrying, Rustling. A faint squealing sound that almost sounded like the delighted laughter of children who were anticipating the reaction to some outrageous prank. And so I tip-toed downstairs, thinking to see the squeaking and the scurrying of the mice I had seen the night before when I sought relief for my sleeplessness with a small snifter of 100 year old Courvoisier I had hid so discretely behind the bushel of very large golden beets my friend Mary Devereaux had so thoughtfully left on my doorstep on her way to take the ferry for her fortnightly visit with her lover who tended the lighthouse. But as I rounded the corner and began walking toward the kitchen, I caught just a glimpse of what appeared to be very tiny people about the size of my hand leaping off the black marble counter and gracefully soaring up toward the ceiling and then suddenly vanishing in thin air! Then, before I even had the presence of mind to question what I had just seen, I turned ever so slightly to the left and saw an even MORE AMAZING SIGHT -- what looked at first to be a very delicious buffet of skillfully crafted from marzipan to resemble all sorts of objects both man made and of natural origin. Heres what looked like to me.when I first walked into the kitchen: https://facebook/photo.php?fbid=10152624415868743&set=pcb.10152624446543743&type=1&theater And so I took out my iPhone and clicked a few quick shots... and just as I had documented the last of the dishes.... a strange glow of sorts filled the air. And before I could message my friend Marck, who is somewhat of an authority on Little People and Faeries and such, and upload these shots, what had just a minute ago appeared to be very solid objects began to grow soft and fuzzy around the edges... as if they were just slightly out of focus. And then poof... like a very large soap bubble falls apart when it gets too big, the entire scene vanished before my eyes. Leaving only these few somewhat blurry images as a memory of what Id seen. And now that Ive had a chance to enlarge them a bit... and study them more closely, I see that it wasnt marzipan sculptures of food I was looking at at all.... but some cleverly staged bits and pieces the LIttle People had apparently collected from here and there around the house.
