MIDTERM BREAK WINS €200,000 TATTERSALLS IRELAND SUPER AUCTION SALE STAKES ON CHAMPIONS WEEKEND 29 runners went to post yesterday for the €200,000 Tattersalls Ireland Super Auction Sale Stakes at The Curragh Racecourse as part of the inaugural Irish Champions Weekend and UK trained horses dominated the first four places, with MIDTERM BREAK taking the first prize for trainer David Barron. Sold at last year’s September Yearling Sale by his breeder, John O’Connor of Ballylinch Stud for €32,000 to joint owners Harrowgate Bloodstock, he held the fast finishing Explosive Lady of Karl Burke’s to take the prize with Richard Fahey’s Realtra beaten by a short head to finish third. This year’s September Sale will take place on the 23-25 September and all yearlings catalogued will be eligible to run in the 2015 renewal of the Sales Race.
