BY PASTOR PAUL THOMPSON INTRODUCTION Vision is the unfolding of Gods plan and purpose for ones life. Whatever God has purposed is bound to come to pass. Isaiah 14:24 The Lord of hosts hath sworn, saying, Surely as I have thought, so shall it come to pass; and as I have purposed, so shall it stand: Jeremiah 1:11-12 Moreover the word of the Lord came unto me, saying, Jeremiah, what seest thou? And I said, I see a rod of an almond tree. Then said the Lord unto me, Thou hast well seen: for I will hasten my word to perform it. Psalms 37:5 Commit thy way unto the Lord; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass. WHY DO WE NEED VISION? 1. We need vision because without a proven vision, life remains an adventure in frustration. Proverbs 29:18 Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keepeth the law, happy is he. 2. That a thing seems right does not make it right. Prov 16:25 Proverbs 14:12 There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death. HOW TO ACCESS DIVINE PLAN 1. One must be a man of the Spirit – Gal. 5:25 Revelation 1:10-11 I was in the Spirit on the Lords day, and heard behind me a great voice, as of a trumpet, Saying, I am Alpha and Omega, the first and the last: and, What thou seest, write in a book, and send it unto the seven churches which are in Asia; unto Ephesus, and unto Smyrna, and unto Pergamos, and unto Thyatira, and unto Sardis, and unto Philadelphia, and unto Laodicea. 2. One must be open and willing to be led. Revelation 3:20 Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me. Matthew 4:19 And he saith unto them, Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men. THE BIBLICAL PROOFS OF TRUE VISION 1. God works with you. 1Cor 3:6-8 Mark 16:20 And they went forth, and preached every where, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following. Amen. 2. God works through you. John 14:10 Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works. 3. You enjoy supernatural Insight – Is. 45:1-3 Isaiah 48:17 Thus saith the Lord, thy Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel; I am the Lord thy God which teacheth thee to profit, which leadeth thee by the way that thou shouldest go. Finally, Vision is a platform for exploits. Daniel 11:32 And such as do wickedly against the covenant shall he corrupt by flatteries: but the people that do know their God shall be strong, and do exploits.
