MIGRATION UPDATE One cannot predict the exact timing and direction of the #GreatMigration. The movement of the herds all depends on Mother Nature. Due to recent rains in the central Serengeti, the never-ending trail of wildebeest has once again moved on earlier than expected. They have now braved the daunting river crossings from the Masai Mara National Reserve back into the Serengeti National Park and they continue to head south. The mega herd is now stationed in the central Serengeti around Seronera, with other large herds seen grazing the lush plains around Naabi Hill, Moru and bordering the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. #andBeyond Serengeti Under Canvas Camp 1 has now moved from Kogatende down to Sereonera, with the second camp following suit in the next couple of days. Guests have witnessed some extraordinary sightings, from nail-biting river crossings to predator action on the plains. Head Ranger Mohamed Omary and his guests recently watched a female leopard tenderly moving her cubs from one rock to another to keep them safely protected. And of course, seeing the lions basking in the sun on Big Rock is always a formidable sight. Watch this space for more updates!
