MINECRAFT Lesson #1 (From K-Zone March 2014 Issue pp.84-85) The current Minecraft version already has 31 different mobs. You can categorize mobs into three types:Passive, Neutral, and Hostile. 1.Neutral Mobs - they wont generally attack you unless you provoke em. P.S. Theres a specific way to provoke each type of neutral mob. ex: Wolves, Enderman, Iron Golem, Snow Golem, Zombie Pigmen 2.Passive Mobs - wont attack you no matter how much you pester them. ex: Bats, Chickens, Cows, Mooshrooms, Ocelots, Horses, Pigs, Sheep, Squid, Villagers. 3.Hostile Mobs - are angry and mean, and will attack a player as soon as they see one. ex: Blazes, Cave Spiders, Creepers, Magma Cube, Silverfish, Skeleton, Ghasts, Slimes, Witches, Wither Skeletons, Ender Dragons, Withers, Zombies, Zombie Villagers. 4.Taming Mobs - Some mobs (like Wolves, Ocelots, and Horses)can be tamed and used for various purposes, like transportation and warding off hostile mobs. For example, Creepers wont approach if youve got an Ocelot nearby. A tamed Wolf (A.K.A Dog) on other hand, can attack any hostile mob except for Creepers. (Were guessing they dont like being blown up!) Horses are a whole different story-they dont attack mobs at all and only serve as a means of transportation for the player.
