MINISTER CALLS FOR TIMELY COMPLETION OF UPLIFT SCHEMES The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Zakat, Auqaf and Religious Affairs, Haji Habibur Rahman has directed the heads of nation building departments of Buner district to ensure timely completion of the ongoing and new development schemes so that dwellers of the district can be benefited of the same. This he said while presiding over a meeting at the office of the Deputy Commissioner Buner. The meeting thoroughly reviewed the pace of work on ongoing and new schemes and stressed the need for further expediting it. Addressing the meeting, Haji Habibur Rahman said that interest of the masses was top most priority of the present government and no delaying tactics would be tolerated in the development process. He called upon the official concerned to keep a strict vigil on the construction work and ensure its standard at all costs. Meanwhile, chairing a meeting of the non-governmental organizations (NGOs), Provincial Minister Haji Habibur Rahman said the role of NGOs in the wellbeing and betterment of the general masses was an acknowledgeable fact as due to meager resources the government all alone could not launch sufficient development projects. “It is a good omen that the NGOs supplement the government’s efforts across the province, particularly in district Buner”, he added. He assured heads of the NGOs, all out cooperation, saying that hurdles in initiating the development schemes would be removed. The heads of NGOs thanked the provincial minister for extending cooperation and assured him that projects executed by them would be completed within the stipulated period.
