MINISTER OF WOMEN, FAMILY AND COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT VISITS KINRARA OVAL On Tuesday, 26th August 2014 Minister of Women, Family & Community Development , YBhg Datuk Hajah Rohani Abdul Karim made an official visit to the home of Malaysian Cricket Association, the Kinrara Oval in Bandar Kinrara, Puchong. During her visit here, she met the National Womens team who are housed at the Kinrara Academy undergoing centralised training in preparation for the ASIAN Games in Incheon, Korea in September this year. They have been going through phases of training for the past 6 months. YBhg. Datuk Hajah Rohani Abdul karim, being from Sarawak was delighted to know that 2 members of the Womens squad, Christina Nina Anak Baret & Dewi Idora Chunan are from Sarawak. YBhg. Datuk Hajah Rohani Abdul Karim spent time chatting with the players and member of the Executive Committee who were present to welcome her. YBhg Datuk also had a feel of the cricket bat when she was asked to have a strike at the ball tossed by MCA Deputy President at the centre wicket. It is indeed a great honor for Malaysian Cricket Association for having YBhg Datuk Rohani Abdul Karim personally paying an official visit and it is definitely a morale booster for our national players especially the Womens Team. We sure hope her visit transpires into greater support for the game of cricket in our country by the government.
