MINISTER TO SENSITISE PUBLIC ON THE IMPORTANCE OF COSAFA TOURNAMENT Maseru, November 16 (LENA) --- The Minister of Gender and Youth, Sports and Recreation, Chief Thesele Maseribane is expected to hold a public gathering on Monday aimed at sensitising Mafeteng community about the importance of hosting the Council of Southern African Association (COSAFA) tournament. This was stated in an interview with LENA on Wednesday by the COSAFA Local Organising Committee Head of Public Relations and Media, Mrs. Thethioe Makara on Saturday who said engaging in sports, helps people to idling and solve conflicts. According to Mrs. Makara, the sensitisation is done in Mafeteng for some of the games will be played at Leshoboro Seeiso Sports Complex. She said it is in that gathering where the COSAFA marketing campaigns will be launched by the Minister. Mrs. Makara said give aways such as football kits will be given out during those campaigns. She stated that the marketing campaigns have been sponsored by the Lesotho government as it the main sponsor of the COSAFA games. It is reported that road shows have been planned to be held in various places but due to lack of time, it will not be easy to reach other places, instead but she had promised they will try their utmost to reach even the outskirts of Maseru to market the event. COSAFA tournament is scheduled to start on December 3 to 14. LENA
