MINOR FLOOD WARNING FOR THE THOMSON RIVER Issued on Sunday 25 January 2015 by the Bureau of Meteorology, Brisbane. Issue Number: 6 Minor flood levels are possible at Camoola Park and Longreach next week. River level rises have been recorded across the upper reaches of the Thomson River and tributaries following areas of heavy rainfall recorded last weekend. THOMSON RIVER: River levels have peaked on Cornish Creek at Bowen Downs during Saturday. Rises are expected on the Thomson River downstream to Longreach during next week where minor flood levels are possible. Predicted River Heights/Flows: THOMSON RIVER at: CAMOOLA PARK: River level rises above the minor flood level (2.0 metres) are possible during the middle of the week. LONGREACH: River levels rises above the minor flood level (3.3 metres) are possible later in the week. STONEHENGE (East): At this stage, river levels at the manual gauge are expected to remain below the minor flood level (2.0 metres). JUNDAH: River levels are expected to remain below the minor flood level (2.5 metres). Remember: If its flooded, forget it.
