MINUTE OF THE LAST MEETING OF BMSS 2009 SET TO EFFECT PLANS FOR 2013 END OF YEAR ALL BMSS EX-STUDENTS RE-UNION CEREMONY/ PARTY; (Minute was put together by Gesiye Brown) The meeting which started @ 4:02 pm was presided over by Comrade Victory Ahman-1 began with an opening prayer from Miss Bolu, after which the minute of the last metting was read, the minute was read by Gabriel Umbu. Next was an opening Remark by Comrade Victory in his opening Remark he thank all members present despite the heavy rain showers that almost ruined d moment, he also explain in details the minute of the last meeting to the understanding of members who were attending for the first time after which the floor was then open for discussion, and contributions where every one aired his or her view. Comrade Donald thank the brain behind the program and stress the fact that it was a good initiative and a welcome development bringing together all Ex-BMSS students after many years and advised all to come together, support and make It success. Other members spoke on same line. That lead us into talking on the plans of the end of year Re-union party, on this note that Belemo Kigigha Suggested cost should be cut down by removing some events like the morning ceremony, it was on these note Miss Bolu also suggested that the cost of including the face of BMSS beauty pagent should be considered, which Miss Blessing Okrinya followed suit. After over 2 hours of debate it was unanimously resolve that #1. Cost should be cut by removing the the morning ceremony that was meant to bring together dignitries including BMSS staffs for price giving and awards. #2. All ex-BMSS student should pay the sum of #5000 naira only and submit a picture along side (for almanac/calendar) before november 26th to allow the committee start plans like booking of venue, printing of almanac etc. #3. The face of BMSS award (both male and female categories) should be done through picture vote #4. A committee would be set up, to carry out the following functions:- I. Undertake of all plans and task to organise the end of year Re-union ceremony/party. II. Take responsibility of collecting the #5000 dues and Donations. III. Be in charge of collecting photos and printing an Almanac/calendar. IV. Mediate and lead the awareness to all BMSS sets from 2008 set to 2011set respectively. V. Any role or function not stated for the committee and it is deem fit by the committee to help in their performance should be considered On this note we moved unto other business which Comr Victory announced the names of the committee members and they are; 1. Miss Bolu (Chairperson) 2. Gesiye Brown (Treasurer) 3. Faith Ibu (secretary) 4. Tokoni Okpotolomo (Special duties) 5. Gabriel Umbu (PRO1) 6. Tarila Agbafor(PRO2) At this junction Comr Victory urged every one to be a PRO of this great unity stride and tell as many ex-BMSS student as u can. He also pleaded that we all should give the commitee all necessary support and our financial contributions to make this a success. He ask the committee to provide a strong prove of payments to any one who makes payment as it will also guide them (the committee) to be accountable and earn trust. It was on this note Gesiye Brown suggested the payment can also be made through installments (part payment) of not more than five times which was agreed by every one. At this point the metting was brought to an end to enable us change venue (were we gave our self special treats) by a closing prayer from Comr Donald Sikpi. The metting ended at about 6:27pm.
