MISSING HORSES IN BIG SOUTH FORK, JAMESTOWN, TN The horses names are Xango and Ocho Both are black and white spotted walking horses, theyre big guys and are 16.1-16.3hh. They are loose completely tacked up and were wearing biothane halter bridles. Heres what I know (from what Ive read on FB from the original post). The two horses were lost near the Cumberland Valley Trail Head. The owners where able to track them down the multi-use road headed toward the East Laurel Overlook... but thats where they lost the trail. They believe they may have headed down towards the O&W rail bed - from there they could have gone left or right.. its anyones guess. If they went right they would have quickly come to a small river and could easily have crossed it. If they went left, there are a couple of other rivers they would have to cross, but not as easily as the other one. As of this time - 11:00pm est Saturday Night - the horses have NOT been found. I have read that there will be a tracker going out to try to find them. So if you were planning on going out to look on horseback PLEASE DONT. The Rangers are aware of the two horses and so is the tracker. The less hoofprints out there, the easier it will be to identify the lost horses. Your best bet if you want to help, and if you are in the vicinity, is to DRIVE the roads that border the park in case they come along the road. Below are pictures of the two horses sent to me by a friend of the owners who have lost them. The owners name is Cindi - here are two phone numbers you can call (if there is a signal for them or you) or txt if you spot them: 1-423-595-3952 or 423-595-3954 From what I understand, the horses are fully tacked. I do not have any other information at this time but will certainly stay glued to my FB page and share anything I may find. Please pray that they are found safely.
