MISSION 15 at CEDAR PARK (WASH) 18 CEDAR PARK (WASH.) — Early-game what ifs, a sizeable halftime deficit, and strong second half comeback. Unfortunately for the No. 2-ranked Mission Roadrunners, it didn’t add up to a victory south of the line on Friday night. Host Cedar Park ran back the opening kickoff for a touchdown to lead 6-0, but the 2012 AA finalists weren’t able to equalize after a drop in the end zone nixed a sure touchdown. Trailing 18-0 at the half, the Roadrunners’ Harsh Gill caught a touchdown pass from Jesse Walker to make it 18-7, and Evan Horton later ran 45 yards for the score. His two-point convert made 18-15 but a game-tying 35-yard field goal with three minutes left went wide.
