MISSION ACCOMPLISHED!!!!! 2014 Back To School for the Troops. Comes to a close. I still have a few extras that I will find homes for. We were able as a group to take care of many Veterans and their families, many veterans going back to college, many veteran organization both in Connecticut & New York and also a few in NH Thanks to the help of our friend Lynda and the Hallock family. As Group we top last years goal of over 3000 kids getting everything they need to go back to school in cooperation with the Operation Homefront Organization and the Dollar Stores in addition to over 200 backpacks, packed to the brim with school supplies all given to designated veterans and troops. Hats Off to the Connecticut Cruise News Minuteman Riders Membership and friend who made this such a great project and to each and everyone who donated backpacks and endless hours to get this project done. Special Thanks to the addirional Backpack helpers who came in to pickup the slack and put us over 200 Backpacks with 15 from Lynda Hallock, 5 from Jean Mariano, 5 from Fernand and 5 from Jill Wisniewski.
