MISSION TO MIDORO-Land to Learn and Sea to See Deacon Sam Sotto and the wife were just back from their trip to Japan, they were to be resting, but to the glory of God, deacon Sam agreed to go with us to Mindoro. He was the one that is familiar with the terrain. Deacon Sam, assistant pastor Edison and I, left San Pablo, Laguna by 8.25pm on friday, 21st November, 2014. We were at the Port of Batangas by 9.55 pm. We were told the ship was full and were to wait for the next ship possibly by 12.00am or 6.00am as the case might be. But the miracle working God stepped in to the situation. It was announced that the last truck that drove into the ship was too long and the ship rare was not closing. They did all they could but it did not close hence, they allowed our car to board. We set out at about 10.20pm. We were at the upper floor on board, where I saw Life Jacket Station 2, for about an hour before coming back to stay in the car for the rest of the journey. After sailing for about 3 hours, we got back on land and drove for another 2 hours to Mindoro. It was already 3:10 Saturday morning, thank God, we got an hotel to lodge. We slept the morning hours and left to visit a family courtesy deacon Sam that treated us to breakfast. It was then time to visit the pastor of RCCG Divine Grace, Mindoro. There were a lot of catching up to be done and that we did. We were treated to sumptuous launch by the pastors family. Thank God for His loving kindness. We were giving an invitation for a boat ride to see an island. What I told pastor Edison, when I saw Life Jacket Station 2 on the ship, that Jesus is my life jacket came to mind. We accepted and off we went. It was a memorable trip of about 1hour 30minutes on the ocean. The session with the praise and worship time started at 6.15 pm. Glory be to God for the wonderful time out. We went back to the hotel for the night. It was a time to connect with heaven as a team and as individuals. 8:30 Sunday morning was the time for Sunday school, followed by the Sunday service. Deacon Sam treated us to a lovely number on his guitar during his testimony of the goodness and love of the Lord. The manifestation of the Power of God was awesome during the service. All glory be to God. We took a break and it was time for the workers session. Another remarkable time in the presence of the Lord. This was followed by pastor Edisons time out with the youths. In ten years time, Mr handsome were some of the jocking words happily used by the youths after the session. The youths invited us to see the longest coast line in Asia. What a wonderful place to visit. Pastor we are so blessed, when are you visiting us again? When will we come to the provincial headquarters at San Pablo? This are some of the parting words/questions that still rings in my heart. We started our return journey at about 6.45pm, had a stop over for diner at about 8.00pm, boarded the ship at 10:10pm. My bed space on the ship reminded me of my days in the secondary school boarding house. We were back at the Port of Batangas by 1:00pm and I was in my room in Laguna at 2:15am Monday morning. O Lord, I hand over to you, the numerous souls that were saved, the people that were baptised in the Holy Spirit, and all the blessings you rained. Let our testimonies be permanent in Jesus name. TO YOU BE ALL THE GLORY O LORD.
