MISSION TRIP # 003079 went to Haiti in December, 2012. Life in Action Mission saw 350 patients, distributed 1,100 prescriptions and had 20 decisions for Christ. Team leader Christopher Pope writes; …a toddler who came to one of the medical clinics with a 103 fever, unable to move her head because of a rigid neck and extreme irritability x 2 days. It was obvious that she had meningitis. We gave her a dose of Rocephin IM and fever reducer and explained to the family the seriousness of her condition and need for further treatment. We laid hands on her and prayed and saw immediate (although modest) improvement in her neck mobility. When she returned in the evening for her next dose of antibiotic she was able to hold her head straight (her neck was still somewhat stiff) and the fever was gone. We followed up the next day for continued antibiotic injections. When she arrived in the morning she looked like a new child. Her parents said the fevers did not return, she was moving her head normally and appeared healthy. Of course we continued antibiotic therapy, but the speed of her recovery was nothing short of miraculous. It was beautiful to see the combination of the power of prayer and proper medical treatment restore the health of a very sick child. We witnessed miraculous healings, saw many people recommit their lives to Christ and some first time decisions to accept Christ.
