MISSION TRIP # 003322 went to Haiti in February, 2013. Haiti Foundation of Hope saw 2,300 patients, distributed over 10,000 prescriptions and had 50 decisions for Christ. Team leader Joseph Markee writes; We saw 2 patients in follow-up that had been seen last year. Joel, an 8 y. old, was diagnosed with Tetralogy of Fallot, A lethal congenital heart condition. By the grace of God, arrangements were made with a cardiac center in France for repair of this complicated lesion. He is now a very healthy and happy child. The second patient, Widler was a 24-year-old pre-med student who was dying of starvation secondary to an accidental ingestion. We were able to find two Haitian surgeons who agreed to operate on this young man free of charge. He is now completely healed and almost unrecognizable because of his recent normal weight gain. Both patients were presented in front of the local congregation at the church services. Certainly a reason to give God much praise and thanks! We also performed more than 20 surgeries, including the drainage of 4 large facial abscesses in children – definitely lifesaving procedures. All that our 2 medical teams did was in the Name of Jesus Christ.
