MITSUBISHI TRITON OWNERS BEWARE - Just read an interesting article on late, base model Tritons and their glovebox light design. Apparently Mitsubishi decided to cut costs and do away with the the glovebox switch and instead wire it permanently to the park lights which means the light stays on when the lights are on. A Triton has recently caught fire from receipts and other paper coming in contact with the globe which gets very hot and hence burned the vehicle to the ground. Pass this on to any late model Triton owners.
