MLB Awards 2014 Predictions: NL Cy Young: Clayton Kershaw There is no need for explanation AL Cy Young: Felix Hernandez Although Chris Sale has a magnificent season and was completely dominant on the mound, Felix was able to record more strikeouts and statistically beat Sale, since Sale was injured. NL MVP: Clayton Kershaw Honestly, Giancarlo Stanton had an amazing season, but had he have not gotten smacked in the face with a pitch and was able to hit 40 home runs, this couldve been a closer call. And McCutchen was amazing also, but Kershaw has an ERA below 2.00 for the 2nd year in a row. This has to be noticed. AL MVP: Mike Trout I cant really imagine anyone else that deserves it more than him. NL Rookie of the Year: Jacob deGrom He had a magnificent season amongst all other rookies in the NL this season. AL Rookie of the Year: Jose Abreu Hes a machine. Tanaka was injured and came back at the last week. NL Manager of the Year: Bruce Bochy Giants sucked last year easily. I would give it to Bochy but it is a real tough call. AL Manager of the Year: Buck Showalter Orioles dont have a star studded pitching staff. We did not expect the offense to do what they did this year, and yet they pulled it off with a division win. NL Comeback Player: Johnny Cueto Injured for a chunk of time last season. He killed it this year. AL Comeback Player: Victor Martinez Albert Pujols came back also. Martinez just was better. Comment your predictions and argue your cases as well. - AG
