MMD presents Holi Special Recipe in Mejwani series: Holi re Holi.. - Puranachi Poli!! Ingredients 250 g channa dal 250 g jaggery 250 g fine wheat flour 1 tsp dry ginger (sunth powder) 1 tsp turmeric powder 1/4 tsp elachi powder oil for frying Directions 1. soak channa dal for 3-4 hrs, then with minimum water pressure cook 2-3 whistles on low flame, 2. Meanwhile crush jaggery finely, when the daal is well done remove access water if any add jaggery and mix well, put it back on low flame and mix well to form a bit dry mixture when cold, blend it in mixer to form smooth and dry. keep it aside 3. Now take wheat flour add turmeric powder and knead it, add oil while kneading the flour and keep it also for 10 mins. 4. Now equally portion of dough and puran (channa dal & jaggery mixture) approx 15 puran polis can be done. 5. Now take wheat dough and stuff it with puran ( just like paratha), and roll it lightly. put it on hot non stick pan and fry it well on both the side. 6. when serving add ghee. Serves 4 people
