#MMEGI JOURNALIST REPORTED MISSING Report by BWgovernment The Botswana Police Service has appealed to the public for any information on the whereabouts of Mr. Edgar Tsimane. According to Assistant Superintendent Norman Semele of Ramotswa police, the 42-year-old Mr Tsimane has been reported missing by family members since August 5 2013. Mr. Tsimane is a senior news reporter for the Sunday Standard and Telegraph newspapers. Assistant Superintendant Semele said Mr Tsimane’s family waited for three days before reporting the matter to the police as he had a habit of going for about two to three days before returning home. However, the family got alarmed when Mr Tsimane did not return home as he usually did and they started looking for him at relatives’ homes and the places that he frequented but to no avail. “Mr Tsimane’s passport is also missing and he was last seen at Ramotswa bus rank wearing a brown jacket and khaki trousers. We have since opened a docket for a missing person, and investigations are ongoing,” said Assistant Superintendant Semele. He further advised members of the public to always inform their family members about their travel intentions and whereabouts.
