MOCK TRIAL WINS THE KENTUCKY CLASSIC! The mock trial program hosted our own invitational downtown at the Hall of Justice where 22 teams from nine states competed for the championship of the Kentucky Classic. The following schools competed this weekend ; Penn State , Duke , Chicago of Loyola , Rhodes College , Furman University , Iowa University , Vanderbilt University , University of Georgia , EKU , Miami of Ohio and Bellarmine. Bellarmine’ s team with the following students; Leah Spears , Jake Grey , Jasmine Chenault , Patrick Dejour , Jessie Herzog , Kevin Jeffrey , McKayla Chandler and Joanna Parsons won the tournament with a record of 7-1 , UGA finished second with a record of 6-1 -1 , Penn State was third @ 6-2 , Vanderbilt was fourth @ 5-3. We did have two students from our other team received individual awards as one of the top five attorney’s Adam Farr and best witness Chris Leduc. If you have any of the mock trial students in your classes please give them a job well done greeting. They have been working really hard and we are beginning to see the results.
