He gets along with men, women and kids, however, it would be best if he was the only pet in the household. He knows basic commands such as sit and come. Adoption fees are $65.00. This includes a 2015 Athens County Dog License and shelter shot record. DONATIONS NEEDED: Several dogs a year come into the shelter with urgent veterinary needs. Dogs like Bonnie can receive veterinary attention due to the kindness that residents show by donating to the shelters Sick and Injured Fund. If you would like to see this service continued for dogs in need please donate to the Sick and Injured Fund. This can be done in two ways…by making a direct contribution at the Athens Co. Dog Shelter or by donating directly to the Athens County Commissioners Sick and Injured Fund that is set up at Abfall Veterinary Services in The Plains. Please make sure that any donations you make are labelled as going to the Sick and Injured Fund and in particular the Athens County Commissioners Sick and Injured Fund if being made at Dr. Abfall’s.
