MOMMY QUESTION: My son is 6mos old and Im going to the dr in a couple weeks for a check up and Im ready to go back on birth control. I wanted some other moms opinions. I have some pretty heavy, painful periods so one that will make my periods worse. Im also quite susceptible to pelvic infections, I had the Mirena for a couple years and got a really bad case of PID that they thought to have made me infertile. Clearly they were wrong since I got pregnant a month after taking it out. So Id like to try to avoid the Mirena. But something at least that effective. My bf and I never used condoms while I was on the Mirena (or after, obviously lol) and never worried about pregnancy. Were using condoms now but we both really hate them lol so Id really love some opinions on different birth controls and other moms experiences.
