MON 20/10/2014 CHALLENGES OF THE ANOINTING 3 Acts10:38; Matt6:12-15; Luk4:3-4 Today, I want us to continue from where we stopped yesterday in our discussion on the challenges of the anointing and I want you to make up your mind that you will last in ministry no matter what the devil’s strategy is. Decide today under God that your anointing will not finish before you finish your assignment. Some other challenges of the anointing include: 3. Inability to forgive: Despite Joseph was sold into slavery, yet he forgave his brothers. When your anointing begins to have meaning, some people will rise up to accuse you of several things. God allows some people to kick against you so that you can move closer to Him. As a carrier of the anointing, learn to forgive or else you will lose your anointing. Unforgiveness drains your anointing. If you do not forgive others, you can’t receive forgiveness from God. Many anointed ministers of God fall into this error, but you must choose to be different. I have always prayed to God that I will not be a hindrance to someone that wants to pull out of my ministry to begin a work for God. As a minister, if any of your members or any of your pastors want to go, don’t hold back prayer from him because of the way he has hurt you in the past, release him into his destiny so that he doesn’t dictate your message on the altar. Any pastor or church member that comes to tell you that he wants to leave has left you six months ago, so pray for him from your heart and don’t tie both of you down to the same point so that your anointing can remain relevant. 4. Inability to reproduce yourself: If you are a man of God that doesn’t plan to reproduce the spirit of God in you, you are a one generational wonder. You don’t need to die with your first fruit. To reproduce yourself you need to develop your root down deep in the Lord. Any man of God that loves the stage more than himself will soon die. Sit down with your brethren, those God has joined with your life and calling, build them up because they have the tendency of doing what you are doing and even better. If people are celebrating your anointing, don’t rejoice until you see someone who can take over from you. The future of your work is in the lives of those that God has planted around you, don’t despise them. PRAYER POINT: Father, from my heart, I forgive everyone that have hurt me in the past, and I receive a free flow for my anointing today in Jesus name. BIBLE READING PLAN: 1Kings2:1-46; Prov.30:1-33; Acts5
