MON-DAT MORNING QUARTERBACK: Alright, dont start making black and gold Super Bowl party plans yet, but last nights win was significant for the Saints. They are a schizophrenic team- sometimes they remember that they are awesome, and sometimes they forget that they suck. Its that simple, and so very psychological. Most importantly, the Saints were prepared and focused. That is coaching. The game was balanced and all three phases played cleanly enough to not destroy their chances. Did they beat the Iron Curtain Steelers or the Warner-era Rams? No, but they beat a 5-2 team that was supposed to win easily, and on the national stage. If they dominate the line of scrimmage regularly like that on both sides of the ball, the chances of winning go through the roof. I also believe if they take care if business at home like normal and steal one or two on the road, they have a realistic chance in December of advancing beyond round one in the playoffs. Its all about when they are PEAKING- not how they started. Im not ready to anoint them just yet, but after what I saw last night, I definitely cant write them off just yet. GO SAINTS!!!
