MONDAY, 31ST MARCH 2014 IT IS UNLAWFUL! “Forasmuch then as Christ hath suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves likewise with the same mind: for he that hath suffered in the flesh hath ceased from sin;” 1 PET 4:1 Suffering was one of the bonuses or carry overs that came with the introduction of sin into the world. So the only way man could have been saved from it would be to be saved from his sins. This is exactly what Jesus came to do. In order to deal with the sin issue, he took the punishment that was due us. This therefore means that we were actually punished as supposed in Christ Jesus. Now, if we have been punished in Him, it becomes illegal for us to serve punishment for the same reason Jesus was punished. Think about it this way, I learnt that in the laws of the nations of the world especially in America, it is illegal for a criminal to be tried and punished for the same offence twice, why then will it be God’s style for you to suffer for the same reason Jesus suffered. If Jesus suffered for us, let us bear in mind that we have already suffered in Him and can no longer suffer for anything in this life. STUDY: 1 Peter 3:18 BIBLE IN A YEAR: Jude PROCLAMATION: Thank you Father for the person of your son Jesus Christ whom you sent to take away the pains and the sorrows. I therefore refuse to live in pain or to sorrow over anything in life. My life is characterized by victories upon victories in Jesus name. RHEMA DAILIES.
