MONDAY 4TH AUGUST 2014 Next Monday is the 100th anniversary of the beginning of the Great War. To commemorate this there are many events being held throughout the nation. We at Stow Maries Great War Aerodrome will be holding our own commemorative event. We shall be open to the public from 10am with presentations on the sites history and guided tours throughout the day. From 8.30pm onwards there will be music, speeches and poetry in the Airmens Mess. At 11.00pm we shall take part in the nations lights out event where lights are extinguished to signify lights going out all over the world Please visit us for part or all of the day. Light refreshment will be available Site entrance fee is as per normal. £4 per head with £3 concessions. Free to serving members of the armed forces.
