MONDAY update: Pearl is an amazing miracle! She is now off all sedation and lipid drips, which means her line came out of her belly button. She is cord free other than her monitor and her nose cannula!!! She was dressed and swaddled last night and was moved to a crib! She nursed a handful of times and only latched maybe three times but we are still happy with that! After stopping the Precedex mid day I was noticing by early afternoon that she was having some withdrawel symptoms. She was sneezing a lot, sticking her tounge out, and smiling a lot. I loved seeing her smile, but I knew why she was doing it so it was hard to enjoy those toothless grins when I was scared the withdrawels would get worse. She also gagged a few times, which made me anxious that she was headed for another afternoon like Friday of horrible vomiting. All has been well through the night and she has maintained low withdrawel scores! With the help of methadone and Clonodine I think we are getting closer to home everyday! Lastnight we got a call at 12:30am that told us Pearl was being moved to the floor! This is big news! She, litteraly, is just steps away from going home :) we just need to get the nose cannula out today, come down from the methadone and Clonodine, prove that she is nursing well, and get an MRI This also means that I get room in with her and nurse on demand untill she comes home :) This girl has this in the bag. I am awestruck at what a healing God we serve!! ♡ #pearlsforpearl These two monkeys got to spend some much needed time with their sister yesterday. It was so good to have all three of our children together! ♡
