MONDAYS DECLARATION OF INDEPENDENCE | Ive become a bit of a George Clooney bachelor, in my late 20s. Its an interesting place to be because I prefer to be a relationship person, as Ive never been one for casual dating; that being said, I watched a video interview with Eartha Kitt where she laughs in the face of compromising for love. She had reached a place of truly falling in love with her own self...so why should she compromise on finding someone else to fall in love with the very passion and fire that made her love her? I feel the SAME way, and I am now joyful that Im mature enough to understand that. Once I realized I was habitually placing unrealistic expectations on others and myself, I stopped; granted, it took a bit of time. So now with all these new beginnings happening for me, I am falling more in love with the person Ive been and the person Im becoming! I am looking at life with such wide eyes, opening myself up not to just finding a partner...but to find new partners in crime. I have gone on more dates in 2014 than the past few years of my life... and I am having fun! I am making some amazing friends and truly seeing what happens when you step outside your comfort zone, in this area of your life. So yeah - I might be single and on the prowl, but I definitely am in loooooooove, and Im in love with myself! Tell em, MILEY.
