Students who are serious about their education realize that they must put forth effort, study and sacrifice in order to make the Deans list and to acquire those A grades. Such also is the case in the Kingdom of God. In order to excel in favor with God, we must first believe in and ask Jesus Christ His beloved Son, to come into our hearts and to be our Lord and Savior. Then, there must be the life-long decision and actions to seek and do His will as found in His Word and as directed by His Spirit. Without having Jesus as Lord of our lives, no works we do on our own, will place us in right standing with God.
