MONTMORENCY JUNIOR FOOTBALL CLUB ROUND 11 PREVIEW. Huge Round 11 - TopicsExpress

MONTMORENCY JUNIOR FOOTBALL CLUB ROUND 11 PREVIEW. Huge Round 11 of Footy for Montmorency this Sunday. We have 10 games at Para Rd and a Monty Mingle as well. There are some great games on offer and , just like last Sunday, lets hope there are a host of exciting finishes. We want to see another big turn out of Magpie supporters to cheer on all our Girls and Boys. UNDER 19 GIRLS-BYE After notching up their fourth win in a row last Sunday and moving into the top 4 for the first time in 2013 Celia Piesse’s team have a Bye this Sunday. UNDER 16 GIRLS The girls are at home this Sunday in their top of the table clash with Sth Morang Gold. The Magpies are sitting on top of the ladder and are in great form. The Lions are second and will be very keen to try and show they can beat the home team in what should be a terrific match. UNDER 13 GIRLS Nikki Blythe’s girls are still searching for a breakthrough – could it be this week? We have pushed Sth Morang close in previous encounters but they, like the Mont team, are improving each week. The much younger Mont girls will give their all and it will be great to see some goals form the team in black and white. UNDER 17 The Magpies host Research and Dom Taglieri’s crew are looking to make it 6 in a row. The Mont team got home by 3 points at West Preston last Sunday with a great second half comeback (again). The game will see a touch of Hollywood come to Para Rd as it will be filmed and covered by The Northern Footy Show. UNDER 16 Paul Beadle’s outfit have now lost their past 3 in a row. This week we host bottom placed Yarrambat but, in a very tight Division, this game is no ‘gimme’. The Magpies need to return to their early season teamwork and commitment this Sunday in order to get back on the winners list. The Coach will be looking to his leaders to really show the way this week and ensure we get back on track. UNDER 15 Trevor Robinson’s team hit the road for the third week in a row on Sunday. The Magpies head to Research to take on the Division’s benchmark team in a tough assignment. The Mont boys had a solid win last Sunday at Yarrambat but will need to lift a notch (& kick straighter) if we want to push the highly talented ladder leading home team. UNDER 14 The Black and White wagons roll out to Keon Park on Sunday. Paul White’s team are a bit undermanned this Sunday and have a tough assignment on their hands. The earlier encounter at Para Rd between these two teams was a ripper but all Mont players will need to make a solid contribution this week if we want to push one of the better teams in the Division. UNDER 13 Darren Boulton’s team have now won their past 6 after a solid performance last week against Epping. The Magpies host West Preston this week, the first time the teams have clashed in 2013. This could be a very close match and the Mont boys will need to ensure they put together four quarters this week. UNDER 12- Blacks The Lion hearted Magpies head off to Northcote for a real crunch match on Sunday. These boys have been hard hit by injuries in 2013 and will probably go into the match without our full contingent. This will not worry Darryl Cox’s team however as earlier in the season we had a similar scenario, playing short away at Northcote, and managed to bring home the Chocolates. This game should be a beauty – good luck team! UNDER 12 Whites Lee Butcher’s team got out of jail last week at Wallan to sneak home by 3 points (hey, any win at Wallan is a good one!) and this week we host Eltham. The last clash at Para Rd against the Panthers was a real nail biter and this one will most likely be the same as the two teams are very evenly matched. The Magpies have developed a knack of sneaking home in the close ones and it may need to be employed again this Sunday.
