MOOSE SHOUTOUT: thank you to everyone who contributed to the SHOEBOX FOR SHELTERS THROUGHOUT THE MONTH OF NOVEMBER ... Donna MacDonald contacted me early in November to help and I agreed, as MOOSE 99.3FM morning host, to integrate my birthday asking for the publics help in collecting 57 boxes... the Come and Go Cake, Coffee and Tea netted us many boxes and many were also dropped off at the Espanola Public Library (thanks to the staff for their help) ... Donna and I collected 28 in all, five of which were for children ... as a result, over the last couple of days, every child and woman now residing in Haven House in Mindemoya on Manitoulin Island, and others in Sudbury womens shelters, have been treated to an early Christmas gift to help them through their difficult transition ...
