MORE 2014 Samways Cycles HIGHLIGHTS #RIDEOUTS We have really focused this year on building a community around our store of people who are passionate about bikes and cycling. Since October we have had ride outs from our store to encourage people to enjoy their cycling, with sociable and knowledgable ride leaders. Di Higman has been riding out with her #VIW. Her rides have been approximately 25 miles long through the beautiful country lanes of Derbyshire. Women of mixed cycling abilities have joined her on road and hybrid bikes. These rides have been inclusive and everyone who joined her had a great time. Chris Wilson is also a ride leader. He has been cycling routes of approximately 45 miles. Road bikes are required for his rides, as the pace is steady riding out to Carsington / Ashbourne. One of his rides took in the challenge of Cromford Hill, Nr. Matloc! Chriss experience ensures that all participants get the most from these rides. Kate Samways has joined ride out leader Christine Kelly from Breeze Network Derby. Christine is a fantastic leader encouraging women to increase their confidence of cycling whilst also being an excellent tour guide around Derby. All rides have returned back to Samways for complimentary coffee / tea and cakes. This has been a great opportunity to chat about the ride and to discuss anything cycling related. Lots more ride outs planned for 2015. Many thanks to Chris, Di and Christine for leading out the rides.
