MORE IMMIGRATION LAW OPPORTUNITIES!! I have recently taken on the position of pro bono coordinator at Esperanza Immigrant Rights Project in Los Angeles. Our organization’s mission is to inspire hope and advance social justice for California’s most vulnerable immigrant and refugee communities. Our work involves advocacy, community education and empowerment, and direct representation. Esperanza provides legal services to more unaccompanied minors than any other public interest organization in the State of California. In addition, we have the largest representation program in the country for detained immigrants suffering from serious mental health illnesses. I am writing to you because I understand that University of San Francisco School of Law is participating in the Northern California Public Interest/Public Sector Legal Careers Day. I wanted to bring internship opportunities at Esperanza to the attention of your students. I hoped that you might assist by distributing the flyer attached to your students. Our managing attorneys are travelling to San Francisco specifically for this Careers Day and we would love the opportunity to meet with any of your students who are passionate about immigration law and public interest law. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any queries. Kind regards, Kimberley Plotnik \ Pro Bono Coordinator Esperanza Immigrant Rights Project esperanza-la.org …inspiring hope; advancing social justice 1530 James M.
