MORE, MORE ON SOLAR POWER - I have seen how very small-scale solar power production can adequately support the basic power needs of an average household and school. Mr. Cesar Villareal, former Principal of Lawang Bato National High School in Valenzuela, Bulacan has shown us a one-piece panel atop his main school building which supports the lighting, electric fans, audio-visual equipment of the school library plus the cellphone charging station. In his own house in Malinta (but I did not see any piece of bloodsucking leeches), the small panel that you see in the pics below which is supported by a storage battery installed by Cesar himself at a cost of about 12,000 pesos can power his super large television, computer, electric fan and a few ceiling lights. Based on this experimental and very small production base, Can we imagine the the amount of power and the costs of a bigger home production system that approximates those we can see in Australian homes?
