MORGAN AND JACKETT IN TALKS! Following five consecutive defeats Wolverhampton Wanderers chairman Steve Morgan and head coach Kenny Jackett have held talks this week. Theyve stopped short of speaking publicly about what was said, we certainly havent had the dreaded vote of confidence headline coming out of Molineux. But what we have had is the E&S reporting that Jackett has Morgans backing, which can probably be perceived as the same thing. But as actual quotes go, all we have to decipher is thus. The chairman has been frustrated like all of us, and disappointed with results, definitely. But also, like everybody, at the club, he is fully determined to put things on the right track. Kenny Jackett told the Express & Star. Not a huge amount to go from, but obviously this poor run of form cannot go on indefinitely. We have already dropped from joint top of the Championship to 13th, with the gap between ourselves and a shot at back-to-back promotions ever widening. He continued: From our point of view, we are hurting, we are hurting with the results. It`s only performances that get you out of that and we have to concentrate on putting on a performance and making sure we are as competitive as we possibly can be. We set some standards on Saturday and felt it was a better performance than recent weeks. If we keep doing that, we will be in for some points.
