MORNING WALK Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you completely, and may your whole spirit and soul and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. 1 Thess. 5:23 You are a spirit being with a soul (mind, will, and emotions), and you live in a body. Your spirit has partaken of the Nature of God, (2 Ptr. 1:4), which includes the righteousness of God, if you have received Jesus as your Lord and Savior. For our sake He (God) made Him (Christ) to be sin who knew no sin, so that in Him we might become the righteousness of God. 2 Cor. 5:21 How righteous is God? However righteous He is, that is how righteous you are in your spirit. If you are a born-again Christian, you have had a nature change. You are no longer a sinner. No, you are the righteousness of God in Christ. and to be renewed in the spirit of your minds, and to put on the new self, created after the likeness of God in true righteousness and holiness. Eph. 4:23-24 and have put on the new self, which is being renewed in knowledge after the image of its creator. Col. 3:10 The new self, the new you. God did not restore your old nature, no, He destroyed it. (Rom. 6:6) There is truly a new you in Christ. And the new you is in the likeness of God in true righteousness and holiness. And the new you is renewed in knowledge after the image of God. I will say it again, the new you is renewed in knowledge after the image of God. So, in order to understand the new you and what you have received into your spirit, you must get all the knowledge you can about the image of God and renew your mind to that knowledge. You have joined yourself to the Master and have formed a single spirit. 1 Cor. 6:17. What flows through Him, flows in your spirit, the real you. Jn. 15:5 To many Believers are living out of their soul (mind, will, and emotions). That is not where God dwells. He dwells in your spirit. We are to renew our minds with Gods Word and present our bodies a spiritual sacrifice to Him. Rom. 12:1-2 Do not present your members to sin as instruments for unrighteousness, but present yourselves to God as those who have been brought from death to life, and your members to God as instruments for righteousness.” Rom. 6:13 We are alive to God, there is no dead thing in our spirit. We are to present our members (spirit, soul and body) to God, as instruments of righteousness. And the standard is God’s righteousness. Not our righteousness by keeping the Ten Commandments and being a nice person. Listen, a person can only do right by having the righteousness of God. For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith for faith, as it is written, “The righteous shall live by faith.” Rom. 1:17 We are to develop in the righteousness of God, from faith to faith. IF YOU ARE A BORN-AGAIN CHRISTIAN, YOU ARE THE VERY RIGHTEOUSNESS OF GOD IN CHRIST. YOU WILL THINK RIGHT, TALK RIGHT, ACT RIGHT, LIVE RIGHT WITH THE RIGHTNESS OF GOD.
