MOROCCO, NORTH AFRICA Morocco is moving towards moderate Islam. It’s “Mourchidat” (spiritual guides) program trains women in Islamic theology alongside men to become spiritual guides. Men and women are treated as equals, although women will not be able to lead public prayer. Morocco is also encouraging countries like Libya, Tunisia, and Guinea to adopt the training. Pray that as Muslim women learn more of the Quran and its teachings, they would see Jesus Christ, not Islam, is the answer (The Bible, John 14:6).
