MOSAIC INTERNAL/EXTERNAL JOB POSTING MOSAIC is seeking a dynamic, outgoing and highly organized individual to launch an exciting new language program for immigrants and refugees with a background in the construction trades. POSITION: Coordinator/Recruiter for Construction Language Training Program DEPARTMENT MOSAIC English Language Centre, Vancouver TERMS: Short term: October 14th to December 19th, 2014 15 hours per week, flexible schedule, some evenings KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: • Develop an effective marketing strategy for the recruitment of eligible clients, and coordinates the recruitment of clients to ensure program recruitment targets are met. • Maintains an excellent working knowledge of local employment opportunities in the Trades and Construction Sector. Builds and maintains business and community contacts. Recruits guest speakers for the classes and work sites for classroom site visits QUALIFICATIONS: Knowledge: Good working knowledge of program activities, standard office equipment, software applications and employer relations and knowledge of construction and trades sector. Skills: Good management and communication skills, knowledge of program operations, and contractual targets. Experience: Experience in marketing programs, recruiting clients and engaging employers Personal Suitability: Highly organized, motivated, sales oriented, and flexible. Desirable Skills/Experience Degree, certificate or diploma in Social Services, Marketing, Education or Business Management, etc. Experience working with an immigrant population.
