MOST OF THE STREET DEPARTMENT CREWS WILL BE FINISHING IN THE NORTH SECTION OF THE CITY WHILE OTHERS WILL BE MOVING TO THE CENTRAL SECTION OF THE CITY. THERE WILL BE NO LEAF COLLECTION ON THURSDAY NOVEMBER 27TH AND FRIDAY NOVEMBER 28TH IN OBSERVANCE OF THE THANKSGIVING HOLIDAY. On Monday, December 1st: Crew One: Bohde Grove, Royal Oaks, Michigan Avenue, Broad River, Taylor Street, Broadway Street and Brooklyn Ave. Crew Two: Spy Run, North Triangle, Highland Park Forest, Irvington Park, Sherman Blvd., Main Street, Spring St. and State Blvd. Crew Three: Brierwood Hills, Winterfield and Trier Rd. Crew Four: Inwood Drive, Kingston Park, Statewood Park, State Blvd., Maplecrest, Shannonside and Lake Forest. Crew Five: Woodland Lake, Till Rd., Union Chapel Rd., South Wayne, Oakdale, Illsley Place, West-Rudisill, Creighton Homes, Crew Six: Northside, Parnell Ave. and Cresecent Avenue. To help make leaf pick-up most effective for your neighborhood, please keep the following in mind: •Have leaves ready for collection on the first day of the week when crews are scheduled to be in your area. Crews will only be in your neighborhood one time that week. •Rake leaves onto the park strip area between the sidewalk and the curb. Please do not rake leaves into the street. This will help avoid having leaves clog storm drain inlets and will help prevent street flooding in the event of heavy rains. •REMEMBER: burning leaves within City limits is a violation of City Code §74.70. The fine is $50 and increases to $75 if not paid within 30 days. Please have your leaves ready for pick-up on the first day of your scheduled week. Again, crews will only be in your neighborhood one time that week. The planned schedule may change due to weather conditions or if the volume of leaves requires more time in a particular area.
