MOST of us have felt sad or depressed at times. Feeling depressed - TopicsExpress

MOST of us have felt sad or depressed at times. Feeling depressed can be a normal reaction to loss, lifes struggles, or an injured self-esteem. But when feelings of intense sadness -- including feeling helpless, hopeless, or worthless last for many ‘days to weeks’ and keep you from functioning normally, your depression may be something more than sadness. There is a basic difference between depression and sadness. It is a normal human emotion that more or less people experience in different phases in their lives. Even Prophets of Allah SWT felt extreme sadness at times. Some ‘daily and prolonged’ symptoms include: • Fatigue or loss of energy almost every day • Feelings of worthlessness or guilt almost every day • Impaired concentration, indecisiveness • Insomnia (an inability to sleep) or hypersomnia (excessive sleeping) almost every day • A sense of restlessness or being slowed down • Loss of interest in activities you once enjoyed. Does it sound like you or someone you know? If you feel that you are experiencing more than sadness then we can show you HOW to heal according to the Quran and Sunnah and HOW to use the Prophetic cures of ruqyah and dua to ease your situation. Alongside that we will provide other self-help tips in our upcoming webinar: Check Yourself Before Your Wreck Yourself - How To Manage Your Emotions For A Happier Home on Tuesday 5th February at 5pm GMT with Sheikh Musleh Khan.
